In your various traveling adventures, what is your favorite place you’ve visited outside the US? "It's hard to say a favorite, as each place was my favorite for various reasons, but if I had to say-- I would pick Kenya. We were in a mountainous area right outside of the Kibera slums. One night I think the heaven's literally opened, because I have never experienced such a torrential down pour of rain like that-- but we had a time of dance and song in the girls shelter home and it was phenomenal. Not to mention we were on African time the whole trip, which is my favorite."
Ashley, if someone put you on a stage, gave you microphone, and asked you to sing a song, what would be the first song that would pop into your head? " 'Chasing Pavements' by Adele. It's a classic, plus I love the wide range. I love how Adele jazzes the song up, and if you know me, you know I am all about jazz."
What is campus ministry like at a Christian college like Liberty University? "In certain ways it's similar to working on a secular campus, yet with an underlying assumption around the school that everyone's a Christian. One of the ways ministry on a christian campus is set apart from a secular campus, is that it's easier to transition to a spiritual conversation, but the hard part is to find out if their hearts are engaged, or if they are verbalizing what they have been told about Christianity."
What are three words that describe you? "Cultured, Jovial, Inspirational."
